In recent years, the situation changed with AMD producing very competitive Server grade CPUs and ARM going from being leading CPU manufacturer for low power gadgets to being inside some of the highest performance server chips.

In this presentation, we will look into current CPU choices through a MySQL lens - which CPUs provide best performance for single-threaded and high-concurrency workloads and which help to achieve the best price/performance.
